DRS or Drag Reduction System, is a tool that you can use at various points of a race to improve speed and climb up the leaderboard, by lowering a flap on the rear wing of the vehicle. But in order to use this tool you will need to know how to turn onDRS, which we will discuss below.

The first thing to keep in mind is that you will only be able to use DRS in certain areas of the track called DRS Zones. Also, you will only be able to activate it when you are within one second of the car in front.





How to turn on DRS in F1 22?

DRS can be activated automatically or manually. To do it automatically you have to go to Settings > go to the Assist tab > look for DRS Assist and activate it.

For manual activation you will have to be aware of where the DRS zones start and end. The entry points are indicated on the map with a line, followed by a green section and the end of the zone is indicated by a green line. You will also hear a beep in the audio, which indicates the entrance to a DRS zone.

When you enter a zone you will have to press Triangle on PlayStation or Y on Xbox.
