Dr. Mario World has already been announced for smartphones - Ultimate Guide

Attention! Nintendo has already announced its new title in collaboration with LINE Corporation and NHN, called "Dr. Mario World" for mobile phones, which will arrive in the coming months.

That's right, Nintendo has revealed through a statement in its official twitter account that the new game Dr. Mario World will have a global release in the early summer of 2019. So there is little to be able to enjoy the title on mobile devices such as iOS and Android.

Shuntaro Furukawa, director and president of the video game company Nintendo, is the one in charge of the new project, which was obtained as a result of an agreement with LINE Corporation (company responsible for one of the instant messaging apps with the largest installed base of users in Asian territory). Both companies are co-developing the game. This was reported by the Japanese company on its official website.

Dr. Mario World, will continue the tradition of the popular sub-saga of puzzles called "Dr. Mario", developed by Gunpei Yonkoi, which was originally released for NES in 1990, being a set of falling blocks, with a style of game very similar to Tetris, where Mario himself forces the player to destroy viruses by combining pills of similar colors. It should be noted that since its launch the video game has had remakes and sequels in almost all Nintendo consoles. So it would not be a surprise that this new Dr. Mario World has a style very similar to its original version but with a mobile format.

As we mentioned earlier, the game will reach iOS and Android devices next summer and will have free download, plus the user will have the option to make purchases within the app. Initially, it will be launched in approximately 60 countries that include countries such as Japan and the United States, with translations into several languages, including both English and Japanese.

But this is not the only novelty of Nintendo, since Mario Kart Tour will also be released this summer. So in this 2019 we will have at least two titles in iOS and Android devices in charge of the Japanese company.
