What are opulent chests in Destiny 2?

The clue marked "where the water once fell" directs you to the Royal Pools, which you can reach through the Castellum. Look for the downward-facing triangle with the face of Cabal Emperor Calus and two Sun Flags, and walk to the hallway below. From the Castellum entrance, you will have to go to the left, and then to the left corner of the room.

You can go to the pools from the Pleasure Gardens, which you can reach from the door in the left corner of the Pleasure Gardens room.

When you enter the Royal Pools from the entrance beyond the Pleasure Gardens, you'll find yourself in a room with ornate columns > head right > proceed to the end of the hallway > turn left into the open area, with five reservoirs.

You can find the chest at the bottom of the fourth deposit. Just make sure you're prepared to deal with Emperor Calus' yellow bar Nightmare and mini-boss enemies.
