Guide to learn how to solve the defiled temple’s moon puzzle in Baldur's Gate 3
Baldur's Gate 3 you will find a place called The Defiled Temple that is nothing more and nothing less than an area in the Goblin Camp. In this place you will find the puzzle of the moon that you need to solve so this guide will help you with that.
How to solve the defiled temple’s moon puzzle in Baldur's Gate 3?
If you want to know how to solve the defiled temple’s moon puzzle, we must first locate ourselves in the stage of the game where this happens and this happens right after eliminating the High Priestess Gut. Once you are able to enter her chambers and then defeat her ogre bodyguard Polma, you will find yourself in the Desecrated Temple. If you walk a little further you will see an elegant room.
Despite her elegant and calm airs, you will find a curious-looking puzzle on the ground. Among the players they have decided have called the Moon Puzzle or in Spanish "The Puzzle of the Moon" (a reference to Game of Thrones perhaps).
You will see that the puzzle consists of four large circular plates. There are also several smaller circles on these plates with various symbols: new moon (black), full moon (white), and half moon (black and white). If you are going to do the puzzle we recommend that you first divide your group so that only one character is interacting with the puzzle and others do not get in the way

The objective is to rotate the plates so that the symbols are arranged in this way:
Top plate (the one with small Selûne markings): all full moon symbols.
Bottom plate (the one with the ray of light): all the symbols of the new moon.
Side plates: the symbols of the crescent.
The simplest way to do this is by moving all the full moon symbols to the top first. Next, I brought the new moon symbols closer to the bottom plate (using the sides).
Try not to realign the top plate if it already has full moon symbols as long as you can avoid it of course. On the other hand only use one of the side plates and the bottom plate if you need to rotate any of the remaining symbols of the new moon and crescent so that they are where they are supposed to be.
When you are done with Moon Puzzle, the back wall will reveal a hidden passageway. It is time to leave the Desecrated Temple and go to the Underdark. This is where the mission "Find the Nightsong" takes you to continue your adventure in the game.
Now that you know how to solve the defiled temple’s moon puzzle in Baldur's Gate 3 you will be able to complete it more quickly if you follow the advice given in this guide. Luck!
