Although technically we knew about the resurrection of the saga for some months, it has not been until the last issue of Famitsu magazine that we have known who was in charge of it. In charge of the expected return of Sakura Wars. The Japanese publication has revealed that it is nothing less than Media Vision, responsible for Valkyria Chronicles, who in this 2018 returned to delight us by offering the outstanding fourth installment of the series, defined as "a new history lesson" and the perfect example of how to make a role-playing game in turns. In addition, Famitsu has also offered the first details about the upcoming game of Sakura Wars, as it will be set in Tokyo, in 1929, during the so-called "era Taisho". A Media Vision has been joined by personalities of the likes of Toshihiro Nagoshi, father of the Yakuza saga, who has spoken of the "surprising quality" that is reaching the game.

After so long ago, Sakura Wars has been missing since 2010, when Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love came to Wii without knowing that it would become the last chapter of the great drought. But, in fact, that game was not even original, because it was the port of an earlier version of PlayStation 2 launched in 2005. That is, we have been without a new title of the franchise for more than ten years! Born in 1996 by Sega Saturn, Sakura Wars gained a place in the industry by innovating in its mechanics, introducing elements from the visual novels -simulator of included quotes- in the development of the game, a use of the title of the role.
