For a game like Apex Legends, it's not strange to expect that many users with the desire to win without much effort. This leads to the well-known cheaters creating ways to make everything easier. However, today they have made this a business and with Apex Legends has not been the exception, since they currently get diversity of sites on the Internet aimed at providing "tricks services" for this game. So great have been the "alarms" that Respawn has recently revealed publicly that it is working to eliminate the cheaters of Apex Legends, where it has currently banned up to 770,000 cheats and has made it clear that this is just the beginning of their plans.

Apex Legends Cheats: Some background to the problem

Apparently since the release of Apex Legends there have been a variety of tricks for this, ranging from visualizing enemies on the screen (shining through the walls), showing all the information of your team (including from life to what weapon they carry), self-aiming that fixes the reticle in any enemy during its movement, that the weapons don't have recoil, among many other things more.

So great have been the events with the Apex Legends tricks that there are currently many (literally thousands) of sites on the internet that offer "cheat services" for this game. The worst of all is that the desire of many users to use these tricks are such that they opt for these services, even if they must pay for them daily (yes, these sites have a fixed fee in dollars, daily, for their services).

Since the use of tricks in games like Apex Legends can be very bad for them, given that those who use these tricks get so many advantages against their rivals that the latter may end up feeling so frustrated due to the difficulties that present themselves, to the point of choosing to leave the game. So it can be said that this could be like a disease for Apex Legends, since it loses users.

Respawn against the Cheaters of Apex Legends

Recently, the drop that spilled the glass of this whole issue was generated when a user was recorded and published the video in which he boasted of his games while winning using tricks. After the alarms caused by this, the developer of Apex Legends Respawn, decided to take immediate action against the cheaters of his game. Likewise, until now it has banned up to 770,000 cheats and has revealed that its plans to deal with these still continue.

Although Respawn has not given specific details about what is particularly going to be done with the cheaters, not to alert them, finally has been prepared to talk a little about it regarding what is currently taking place. In this sense, Drew McCoy, executive producer of Respawn, wrote another blog post about what happens to the cheaters of Apex Legends.

"We can't share details about what we're doing so we do not give the cheat makers the heads," McCoy wrote, "but what we can say is that we're attacking this from every angle: from the improvements in cheat detection, to the resources and tools of reinforcement, to the improvement of processes and other astute things to fight the sellers and cheaters ".

According to Drew McCoy, Respawn has shared "some high-level statistics" about the progress so far. The report tool recently incorporated in the game generated a significant impact in the discovery of new tricks, which include the previously undetectable tricks that are now automatically found through EAC (EasyAntiCheat).

According to the report, the total bans are on 770K players, more than 300K account creations have been blocked, as well as more than 4,000 accounts of cheating vendors (spammers) have been banned in the last 20 days; the total number of PC matches impacted by spammers has been reduced by more than half in the last month due to recent efforts.

"It's a constant war with the trap makers that we will continue to fight," said Drew McCoy. "We take the traps in Apex Legends very seriously and we have a lot of resources to deal with it from a variety of angles." For its part, McCoy also did not specify when Respawn will give extensive details of plans to address the problem with cheaters, but confirmed that "will return next week with an update on another of the problems mentioned in the post last week." Let us patiently wait for this new update of the results.

Regarding other news from developer Respawn, we have information that has confirmed the postponement of Titanfall projects so that the company can focus on Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. In addition, Respawn has revealed that Apex Legends season 2 plans will be described in this year's EA Play, as well as the demonstration and other details of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

So far, some of the suggested, detailed changes that come to Apex Legends are new characters, elements, weapons and alterations on the map. The EA Play 2019 event will start on Friday, June 7 through Tuesday, the 11th of the same month, since it will be presented in several live broadcasts.
