Many may consider Outbreak Perfected as the D2 version of Outbreak Prime, since it has a very similar functionality. This sends SIVA nanites that generate additional damage to the enemy or target. However, the "D2 version", the Outbreak Perfected, increases the damage the players shoot against the target sprayed with SIVA. This quality made many in the Destiny 2 community believe that Outbreak Perfected could be a good candidate for boss DPS, resulting in some tests.

Among the tests conducted by the Destiny 2 community is that Outbreak Perfected will face off against the chief mech of the Scourge of the Past raid, Insurrection Prime. The result produced thanks to this test ended up turning the Outbreak Perfected into a top-level DPS weapon.

The secret to effective damage with Outbreak Perfected

Given the functionality on which the Outbreak Perfected is based, it can be said that the effectiveness of the damage is due to the number of SIVA nanite parasites that end up joining the enemy. This means that the damage increases as more SIVA nanites stay attached to the enemy. In this way, the more users use the Outbreak Perfected in a common objective and the greater the number of times the weapon hits the said target, the damage will increase exponentially.

Getting the Outbreak Perfected is not so easy. For this you need to complete the secret Zero Hour mission with a power level equal to 690. But as the maths show, it's worth the effort.

Destiny 2 is currently available on the Xbox One, PC and PS4 platforms.
