Inside the lair you will have to keep an eye out for what Navirou has to say, as he will talk to you about the weight and smell of the egg, keep in mind the importance of this, as the heavier and nicer the egg, the higher the chances of the Monstie having rare genes.
Such eggs are distinguished by their golden or rainbow color (super rare).
Navirou will almost always tell you, "It doesn't really smell like much.... And it's light too!", referring to an average egg, so you'd be advised to exchange it for another one considering that you can only have a certain amount of eggs in each lair, plus the egg exchanges will make you more prone to attacks from the cave's enemies.
When you have the egg you need, you will have to take it out of the Monster Den to make it yours, keeping in mind that you can only take one egg from each individual Monster Den and you can save several eggs using your Egg Carton. When you have what you are looking for, simply return to the stables in Mahana Village to hatch them.
