If you're wondering how to add monsters to your party, the first thing to do is hatch the monsters from eggs. To obtain the eggs you will have to check the monster nests that you can find throughout the open world. The nests can be found in the small caves that you can access while exploring, where just at the end of the path you can find the nest, where you can meet a monster and fight with it or just take the egg without waking it up.

With the egg you will have to go back to the village and talk to Stable Paw to get the eggs. They can all hatch at the same time, so you can get the monsters and choose. To choose you will have to go to the Stable Paw menu> select Manage Monsties to add Monsties to your group.

It is possible to equip up to five Monsties in your party, so at one point in the game you will be able to form your party with a good variety of Monsties. When this is ready, you can start.

Note that during combat, only the leader monster will fight alongside you, however, you can change it in the middle of the fight from the Monstie option in the battle menu.

Outside of the battle you will have to press the X button to access the main menu of Monster Hunter Stories 2 Wings of Ruin> select Lead Monstie to change it.

That's all you need to know about how to add monsters to your party in Monster Hunter Stories 2 Wings of Ruin, so we hope you can add the best monsters in the game to your party, so that you can complete the team with their skills.
