What are Chozo soldiers in Metroid Dread?

They are one of the many deadly alien enemies that Samus will have to take down. This enemy will appear when you first meet the Quiet Robe character, although the mechanical versions aren't the only soldiers out there. When you first arrive in Elun you'll be able to gain the Plasma Beam ability and you'll encounter a live Chozo Soldier. This enemy is encountered quite often, so it is important that you know how to beat Chozo Soldiers.

How to beat Chozo Soldiers in Metroid Dread?

If you are wondering how to beat Chozo Soldiers in Metroid Dread, the first thing you need to know is that this enemy is classified as:
  • Red
  • Silver
  • Gold.
Although there are three variants of this boss, the strategy to use will be the same for all of them, with some additional twists of the most difficult ones.

Each confrontation will be divided into two phases. In the first one, the Soldier will swing his weapon and try to attack you, but you will be able to jump to dodge his attacks. He may also try to grab onto the wall before jumping at you with a downward stab, the key here is to dodge to the left or to the right.

To attack we recommend using the missiles or the plasma beam, until the soldier widens his jaw and initiates the final phase.

For this phase try to stab you at a greater distance than the sweeping attack of the first phase, and the downward stab will release a splash of damaging goo. The key to protecting yourself from both attacks is to keep some distance away.

The red version will use a shield to stop attacks from the front, so you should shoot from behind or between attacks to damage it. You can counter its melee attack with its charge shield or use the Grapple Beam ability to move it away from the golden Soldier.

Keep in mind that the golden Chozo Soldier will be able to grab onto the walls and spit a black substance at you, which you will have to watch out for.

This brings us to the end of this guide on how to beat the Chozo Soldiers in Metroid Dread, so at this point, we hope that you will be able to finish these enemies without any problem now that you have the details on how to  beat the Chozo .
