How To Use Facial Capture in InZOI

Bringing your Zoi to life in InZoi is a transformative way to reflect your personality in the game. By enabling facial capture, your character can mimic your real-world expressions, adding a layer of authenticity and fun to your gaming experience. Here’s a step-by-step guide to setting up the facial capture feature using your iPhone and a shared Wi-Fi connection.

Preparing for Facial Capture

Before diving into the setup process, ensure you’ve created your character in InZoi and are ready to explore its world. The key requirement for facial capture is that your PC and the device you plan to use (currently limited to iPhones) must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Step 1: Start the Facial Capture Setup in InZoi

Launch the game and navigate to the top toolbar in the center of your screen.

Click the “Set Up Facial Capture” button. A window will appear instructing you to verify your Wi-Fi connection. Double-check that both your PC and iPhone are on the same network.

Step 2: Install the Necessary App

Press “Next” in the setup window, and you’ll see a QR code appear on your screen.

Use your iPhone to scan the QR code, which will redirect you to download the Live Link Face app.

Once the app is installed, select the Live Link feature within it, bypassing the “MetaHuman Animator” option.

Grant the necessary permissions for the app to access your camera and microphone.

Step 3: Configure the Live Link Face App

Open the Live Link Face app on your iPhone.

Navigate to the Settings menu in the top-left corner.

Under the “Streaming” section, choose Live Link and then click Add Target.

Enter your PC’s IP address, leaving the default port number as it is. Tosimplify this step, InZoi’s setup menu conveniently displays your PC’scurrent IP address, so you won’t need external tools to find it.

Step 4: Finalize the Connection

After entering the IP address, your iPhone may request permission to detect devices on the local network. Approve this request.

Exit the Settings menu in the Live Link Face app. It’s important to do this; otherwise, InZoi will not recognize your device.

Return to the InZoi setup window and click “Next” until you reach the screen displaying “Choose a Device to Connect.”

Select the device you’ve just configured. Your device will likely appear as“iPhone” unless you’ve renamed it to a personalized label.

Step 5: Test the Facial Capture

Once the connection is successfully established, zoom in on your Zoi’s face in-game.

Observe how your character’s facial expressions mimic your real-worldmovements. Whether it’s a cheerful grin or a raised eyebrow, your Zoiwill mirror your emotions—adding a touch of personality and humor toyour gameplay.

Setting up facial capture in InZoi might seem intricate at first, but theresults are well worth it.
