Fishing is one of the most enjoyable and profitable activities in inZOI, allowing players to earn extra money while collecting rare and useful items. While the fishing system is currently simple, it offers a variety of rewards, from common fish to unexpected treasures. Additionally, selling your catches—or other unwanted items—through the Pocket Market or Secondhand Sales Counter can turn your efforts into a steady income stream.
This guide covers everything you need to know about fishing, selling your loot, and maximizing your profits in inZOI.
Fishing is accessible in designated spots near bodies of water, such as rivers, lakes, and oceans. To start fishing, approach a fishing location and interact with it. You’ll have two options:
"Go Fishing" (Free) – Uses basic bait and yields common fish and occasional random items.
"Fish with Advanced Bait" (Costs 5 Meow) – Increases the chances of catching rare fish and valuable objects.
Queue Multiple Fishing Actions – Since fishing sessions are short, queuing several actions in a row will keep your ZOI busy for longer.
Advanced Bait is Worth It – Testing suggests that rare fish (like the Great Barracuda) are much more likely to appear when using advanced bait.
Explore Different Locations – As more cities are added in future updates, new fishing spots with unique catches may become available.
Fishing doesn’t just yield fish—sometimes, you’ll reel in unexpected items like dolls, decorative objects, or other curiosities. Here’s what you need to know:
Common Fish – Can be sold, used as ingredients, or displayed (though they spoil over time).
Rare Fish – More valuable when sold secondhand or turned into ingredients.
Non-Fish Items – Some objects pulled from the water can be sold or used for decoration.
Once your ZOI has caught something, you have several options:
Click on a surface and select "Place" to set the fish down.
Warning: Fish will eventually spoil, so don’t leave them out for too long!
All fish can be sold via the Secondhand Sales Counter.
To sell:
Buy a Secondhand Sales Counter (found in Build Mode—search "Secondhand").
Place it outside your ZOI’s home for easy access.
Click on a fish (or any other unwanted item) and select "Sell Secondhand" to set a price.
Some fish can be processed into cooking ingredients.
Useful if you’re focusing on meal preparation in the game.
Not just fish—many items in inZOI can be sold secondhand or through the Pocket Market:
Pocket Market – Accessed via your ZOI’s smartphone, this is an alternative way to sell certain items.
Secondhand Sales Counter – Works for decorative items (vases, bottles), furniture, and more. If you don’t need it, sell it!
Currently, fishing does not have a skill system—your ZOI’s success rate stays the same no matter how often they fish. However, this might change in future updates.
The only way to increase your chances of rare catches is by using Advanced Bait.
✅ Use Advanced Bait for Rare Fish – It’s worth the 5 Meow cost.
✅ Sell in Bulk with a Secondhand Counter – Set up a sales spot near your home.
✅ Check Different Fishing Locations – Some spots may have better loot.
✅ Don’t Let Fish Spoil – Sell or process them quickly.
Fishing is a relaxing and rewarding way to earn money in inZOI, and with the right strategy, you can turn it into a steady business. Happy fishing!
