How to Solve the West Irondale Merlin Trial in Hogwarts Legacy - Ultimate Guide

It allows players to take on the role of a Hogwarts student who must complete a variety of tasks and trials in order to progress through the game. The West Irondale Merlin Trial is a magical obstacle course that must be completed in order to progress in Hogwarts Legacy. The trial consists of three parts and requires the use of Mallowsweet Leaves and either the Incendio or Confringo spell. Once a player starts the trial, they must locate and light up three torches found in the area.

In order to complete the West Irondale Merlin Trial, players must first acquire some Mallowsweet Leaves and either the Incendio or Confringo spell. Mallowsweet Leaves can be found in the Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes store in Diagon Alley or in the Apothecary in Knockturn Alley. The Incendio spell can be learnt in the Charms lesson at Hogwarts, while the Confringo spell can be obtained from Professor Snape in the Potions lesson.

Once you start the trial, you can use Revelio to locate the three torches that must be lit in the vicinity; they are usually near the Merlin Trail portal. Once all three of them have been lit, the Merlin Trail in west Irondale can be considered complete. Refer to the map for exact location.
