The next step in unlocking the Flipendo Spell is to complete Professor Garlicks’s Assignment. In this assignment, you’ll need to plant the Fluxweed Stems at the Potting Table, and then use the three combat plants simultaneously in battle. To make sure you’re successful, be sure to pick up the three combat plants you will need to complete the quest. These plants can be found at various locations in the village, such as the Apothecary, the Magical Menagerie, and the Three Broomsticks. To complete the quest, you must plant the Fluxweed Stems at the Potting Table and use the three combat plants simultaneously in battle. Once you have cleared this quest, the Flipendo Spell will be unlocked and you will be ready to complete the next part of Professor Garlicks' second Assignment.
