How To Open The Briefcase On The Picnic Table in Grounded 2
The Location of the Briefcase
The briefcase is discreetly positioned on the far end of the picnic table, nestled right beside a large, blue cooler. This area is populated by Cockroach Nymphs, but they are typically docile unless provoked. To reach the briefcase, you’ll need to climb the tablecloth and make your way onto the first bench. From there, you have two options to continue your ascent.
You can either scale the nearby spiderwebs, a path fraught with Orb Weavers, or you can take a safer, longer route. The latter involves turning around and navigating through a fold in the tablecloth. Follow this path, bypassing the spiders and their young, until you arrive at a stack of Hot Chachas boxes. Climb these boxes and then traverse the handle of the Croquet Mallet to reach the opposite bench where the briefcase awaits.
Unlocking the First Code
To unlock the briefcase, you'll need two separate three-digit codes. The first code is thankfully quite close. Head to the top of the picnic table, a zone crawling with hostile ORC Ladybugs, Orb Weaver Jrs., and Spiderlings.
Your target is the Crossword Puzzle located on the table. The code is written clearly on the bottom of the puzzle. Be mindful of a nest of Spiderlings right next to the code, which you'll likely have to pass to get the number. Once you've secured the code, you can either return to the briefcase immediately or proceed to the next location to find the second one.
Discovering the Second Code
The second code is a bit farther afield, requiring a journey to the Lectern, a prominent structure you can spot from almost anywhere in the yard.Descend from the picnic table and head southeast toward this tall stand.
This area is considerably more dangerous, with Wolf Spiders and ORCButterflies patrolling the upper reaches. However, the climb itself ismore straightforward than the picnic table. If you have an Orb WeaverBuggy or a knack for acrobatics, you can use a nearby spiderweb tobypass the lectern's first floor entirely.
The ascentis a linear path that involves scrambling over junk and rubble, with abrief outdoor detour. You’ll eventually climb through a hole for amicrophone cable. Upon reaching the top, you'll be ambushed by two ORCButterflies and an ORC Weevil. The second code is on a piece of paper in the top-left corner of the lectern. You can either fight the insects or quickly grab the code and make a hasty retreat.
The Benefits of Opening the Briefcase
The effort of locating these codes is well worth it. Opening the briefcaseprovides a significant payoff. Inside, you'll discover a variety ofvaluable resources, including chunks of minty, spicy, and sour candy, a highly sought-after milk molar, valuable story logs, and raw science.
Beyond the loot, the briefcase offers a major convenience bonus. Once opened,it creates a new shortcut to the top of the picnic table, allowing youto bypass the cooler on future trips. This also provides a quickerdescent route, letting you drop down to the briefcase and continuethrough the tablecloth rather than following the entire convoluted pathback down.
Unlocking the briefcase is an essential step for any serious player of Grounded 2. It not only grants you access to a wealth of rare resources but also significantly improves your traversal of a key area in the backyard.
