Grounded 2: How To Get Northern Scorpion Stinger

The Northern Scorpion Stinger is, as the name suggests, a drop from the Northern Scorpion. However, not all scorpions will provide this resource. You must defeat a fully-grown Northern Scorpion to have a chance at getting a stinger. Smaller variants, such as "Northern Scorpions Jr." and "Northern Scorpings," will not drop this item.Hunting a full-grown scorpion is a significant challenge. These are large, powerful insects with a venomous attack. Before engaging, it is highly recommended to craft and bring a few Scorpidote Smoothies to give you venom resistance, as this will be your main threat during the fight. A good strategy is to use ranged weapons from a high-ground position where the scorpion cannot reach you.

Locations of Northern Scorpions

Northern Scorpions are typically found in the northern regions of the map. They tend to burrow, but you can spot them by the slight mound of dirt that indicates their presence. Here are some reliable locations where you can find the fully-grown Northern Scorpions:

• Ranger Outpost: Look around the flower beds and other foliage near the Ranger Outpost.
• Fire Pit: Search the area just northeast of the Picnic Table, bordering the Fire Pit region.
• Ceremony Area: Northern Scorpions can be found near the O.R.C. transmitter on the folder in this area.
• Ranger Outpost Snackbar: Check near the toppled robot in front of the Ranger Outpost Snackbar.
• Statue Gardens: This is a very common location for the largest scorpions. You can often find them in the gardens right outside the Ranger Outpost.

Once you have defeated a fully-grown Northern Scorpion, you can loot its body to collect the Northern Scorpion Stinger. Keep in mind that the drop rate for the stinger can be low, so you may needto defeat a few of them to get the resources you need.
