However, obtaining it is no simple task, as it's located in a dangerous, hard-to-reach area guarded by a formidable boss.This guide will walk you through the process of finding the Gloom Skewer, from navigating the treacherous terrain to defeating the Cockroach Queen that stands in your way.

Grounded 2: How To Get Gloom Skewer Unique Weapon

The Path to the Gloom Skewer

The journey for this unique weapon begins at the Toxic Anthill. This is a hazardous location, so be sure to come prepared with proper gear and a full inventory of healing items.

Locate the Entrance: The entrance you'll need is the South Entrance, which can be found in the Snackbar Front area of the yard. This entrance is distinct and will lead you down the correct path.

Navigate the Anthill: Once inside, the tunnels can be confusing. Take the first left and continue following the tunnel. You will eventually arrive in a room containing a few notable items: two spray cans and a donut hanging from the ceiling.

Bypass the Dangers: Exit this room by taking a right. This path will lead you through a dangerous area filled with pesticide puddles. Be careful as you make your way through this section, as contact with the puddles will cause damage.

Enter the Queen's Lair: After successfully navigating the pesticide, you will reach a staircase that leads up to a large cavern. This is the Cockroach Queen's lair.

Confronting the Cockroach Queen

The Cockroach Queen is a tough boss with a large health pool. To defeather, a strategy focused on fast, piercing attacks is your best bet.

• Primary Attacks: The queen has a lot of health, but she's vulnerable to stabbing damage. Use a powerful spear or similar weapon to chip away at her healthquickly.
• Avoid the Sizzle Goo: Her most dangerous attack is a "Sizzle goo" that she spits out, whichcan quickly drain your health with burn damage. Staying mobile anddodging this attack is critical for survival.
• Protective Measures: To counteract the Sizzle goo, bring cooling consumables. Items like Mintitos or a Mint Shard can help reduce the burn effect. The "Fresh Defense" mutation is also highly effective, as it specifically reduces Sizzle, Burn, and Gas damage. For mid-fight healing and cooling, a Lingonberry Bandage is an excellentchoice, as it provides both healing and a cooling effect simultaneously.
  
  

The Queen's Final Phase

The fight isn't over when her health bar is depleted. When you first defeat her, her head will pop off, and she will enter a frenzied state. Inthis second phase, she will run around wildly, spraying Sizzle liquidfrom her neck. The key here is to maintain your cool, avoid getting hitby the liquid, and continue to land attacks from a safe distance. Keepchipping away at her remaining health until she is completely defeated.

Once the Cockroach Queen is finally down, you can claim your reward. Look around the cavern for a small, hidden nook. This area will be blocked by mushrooms.5 You will need a Tier 2 Omni-Axe to chop them down and gain access tothe space. Inside, you will find the coveted Gloom Skewer, ready to beadded to your arsenal. This powerful spear will be a huge asset in yourfuture adventures across the backyard.
