Developer Sucker Punch has woven a special quest into the world of Yotei that allows you to recover Jin's iconic equipment, letting you embody the spirit of the Ghost.This comprehensive guide will lead you through the entire process, from starting the quest to claiming Jin Sakai's Storm Blade, Ghost Mask, and the unique Stag Helmet for yourself.

Finding the Quest: The Forgotten Shrine

Your journey to honor the past begins on the Oshima Coast. You need to travel to the southwestern part of this region to locate a Forgotten Shrine. For precise navigation, look for an area south of the Orito Forest, near the water's edge.Upon arrival, you will find a Storyteller named Ugetsu kneeling by a torii gate. Speaking with him will officially begin the tale, pointing you toward the path behind him. This mountain trail is the gateway to Jin Sakai's lost artifacts.

A Spiritual Journey: Following the Fox

The path upward is more than a simple climb; it's a pilgrimage. Your guide will be a spiritual fox, a familiar sight for veterans of Tsushima.

Bamboo and the Fox Den: Head up the path and cut through the overgrown bamboo until you discover an ancient fox shrine. Paying your respects here will summon a fox in a brief cutscene.

Navigation and Puzzles: Follow the fox until it vanishes. You'll need to traverse a waterfall using grapple points and cliff-side holds. Continue climbing until you find a small shrine with a flame and a familiar symbol.

A Nod to the Past: Bow at this shrine. This action will trigger a beautiful cinematic where red leaves are swept across the screen by the wind—a direct and poignant reference to the guiding wind mechanic from Ghost of Tsushima.

Claiming the Stag Helmet and Storm Blade

Continuing on, you'll reunite with the fox in a serene clearing dominated by alarge, red-leaved tree. Underneath it, you'll find a chest.

• The Stag Helmet: Interact with the chest to discover Jin's haiku. After reading it, thewind will reveal a hidden crevice in a nearby wall. Squeeze through andnavigate the cliff face to reach the "Lost Shinobi Den." Here, among old supplies and Jin's saddle, you will find your first prize: the Stag Helmet.
• The Storm Blade: To continue, exit the den creatively by using a rock to jump onto itsroof, then find a new climbing path upward. You will eventually abseildown and work your way to the top of a waterfall. Inside a cave, followthe wind to a crawl space. On the other side, the Storm Blade is mounted on the wall.

However, your claim is short-lived. A spectral thief, the Nine Tails, will snatch the blade, initiating a chase sequence. There is no timelimit, so take the platforming sections carefully. The pursuit leads to a field of white plants with a solitary house—Jin Sakai's old home.

Investigate the interior to find poignant mementos of the previous owner beforeheading outside. Follow fresh footprints through a gate to confront theNine Tails sword thief.

Combat Tip: This duel can be challenging. Remember that there is no trophy tied todifficulty, so feel free to adjust the game's settings if you need anadvantage.

Upon defeating the sword thief, you will finally claim the Storm Blade and learn the powerful "Dance of Wrath" technique (activated by pressing L1 + R1). After a concluding cutscene thatreflects on Jin's legacy, your final task is to approach the monumentbeneath the large tree. There, you can collect the most iconic item ofall: Jin Sakai's Ghost Mask.
