How to Start The Enemy Within Quest

Your journey begins in the northern reaches of Ezo. Travel to the Kamikawa Trading Post, situated east of the Teshio River and north of the Sakuru Woods. Upon arrival, you'll encounter a merchant named Goemon, who laments that a shipment of his goods has vanished along the northwestern passage. Speak with him to accept the quest and begin your search for the missing cargo.

Step-by-Step: Locating the Missing Supplies

Follow the Road East: After accepting the quest, leave the trading post and head east. A clear quest marker will appear on your map, guiding you toward the objective. Stick to the main path for the best results.

Investigate the Clues: As you travel down the road, keep a sharp eye out for narrative details. You will come across the bodies of Goemon's suppliers, and Atsu will note the distinct scent of spices in the air—a sure sign you are on the right trail.

Survive the Ambush: Your investigation is soon interrupted. Three archers from the NineTails faction will ambush you from the treetops. Prioritize eliminatingthese threats quickly, as their arrow volleys can be deadly.

Claim the Supplies: Once the area is secure, search the ambush site. Behind a large rocknear the trees, you will find a small chest. Interact with it to securewhat remains of Goemon's missing supplies.

Completing the Quest: A Mysterious Turn of Events

The quest takes a strange turn when you return to the Kamikawa Trading Post.

• Goemon is nowhere to be found.
• When you ask the other merchants about him, they all claim to have no knowledge of his existence.
• This suspicious behavior prompts Atsu to investigate further. Head to the lone shack on the left side of the trading post.
