Character Ascension in Genshin Impact means that the maximum attainable level by characters is increased and new abilities are unlocked. In order for every character to ascend, they require certain resources. These include:

  • Mora: This is the in-game currency that one uses to purchase things.
  • Prithiva Topaz: These are some types of gems that can be gained through several in-game means: Ley Line Outcrops, bosses, and chests.
  • Whistles: Materials that can be obtained by breaking down several things in the game: enemies, bosses, and chests around the world.

  • Wooden哨子 (x6): A simple, yet effective, signaling device made of wood.
  • 12,500 Mora: The in-game currency which can be used for various purchases.


Level 3



  • Conflict Guide ×2: Higher-level explanation and use of conflict resolution methods.
  • Metal哨子 ×3: More robust, a bit more reliable, and now made from metal.
  • 17,500 Mora: More Mora than usual allows for weightier purchases of items.


Level 4



  • Conflict Guide ×4: An advanced method of dealing with complex conflicts.
  • Metal哨子 (x4): A set of metal哨子, enough for group or some sort of emergency communication.
  • 25,000 Mora: A lot of Mora to give one ample funds for whatever adventures are desired.

How to Obtain Kachina's Ascension Materials To take part in helping Kachina in her path to become a formidable champion, the following materials must be prepared: Natlan-Exclusive Resources
  • Quenepa Berry: Native specialty found near the tribe's camp, The Scions of the Canopy, near Teticpac Peak. Note that harvestables usually respawn in two in-game days in Natlan.
  • Whistle of the Sentry-Wooden, Whistle of the Warrior-Metal, Whistle of Saurian-Crowned Warrior-Golden: Whistles drop off Sauroform Tribal Warriors, basic enemies found while exploring Natlan. Challenges have limits daily; hence, one has to strategize appropriately in order to get whistles one needs within a given number.


Prithiva Topaz



  • Prithiva Topaz Sliver, Fragment, Chunk, Gemstone: These gems drop from several of the Normal Bosses of the game. Of these, Geo Hypostasis is often the easiest to attack for this material. Note that boss loot requires 40 Resin to collect, so use it wisely.


Natlan Boss Materials



  • Overripe Flamegranate: this critical material drops off of the Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King or Kongamato, both of which can be found near Natlan's Statue of the Seven. As with all boss materials, farming Overripe Flamegranate consumes 40 Resin per attempt. Additionally, each attempt generally only rewards 1-2 pieces of whatever the item in question happens to be, so fully affixing a character with Overripe Flamegranate will take approximately 5 days.
  • Lessons of Conflict, Blueprint of Conflict, Philosophies of Conflict: These can be found within the Blazing Ruins Domain in Tepeaca Rise, Natlan; they only spawn on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The tomes can be acquired through attempting to claim them for 20 Resin.
  • Fading Candle: This material drops from The Knave Weekly Boss in Scattered Ruins. To kill The Knave, it is highly recommended to bring a character who can attack from afar Catalyst or Bow and has a good shield. Remember that Weekly Boss consumes 30 Resin to challenge and can only be faced once a week; hence, completing Kachina's ascension materials would take a few weeks.


Event Reward



  • Crown of Insight: This good artifact is acquired persistently by participating in events within the game. It forms one of the key consumables utilized in leveling up the talents of a character.
