Super Mario World 1-1 is undoubtedly considered a work of art really valued since it made its debut for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1985, it is very important in the history of video games, because it set a great pattern for the creation of this genre of lateral displacement in general, even many decades later. In addition to this game was key to guide the great success of Nintendo with that beloved character as Mario is.

It is possible that you were once bored while you had a notebook in front of you, and it may have occurred to you to make a flipbook animation to give life to something simple, like a stick figure running.

However, recently a Twitter user went a lot further, because not only do I take as a reference that the Super Mario World 1-1 of Super Mario Bros. can be overcome in less than a minute, but I literally use their artistic skills to recreate the whole level just in your notebook.

@ KisaragiHutae6 adventurously tweeted: "I drew Super Mario Bros. in my notebook", but it is noteworthy that it is not just scribbles, so do not underestimate this work of art, because the talented Japanese artist has not only recreated all the Super Mario World 1-1 in your notebook with a somewhat old style, I also do an animation of the level while Mario runs, breaks blocks, crushes enemies and jumps to the end!

The video that shared @ KisaragiHutae6 of his animation shows even the power-ups, Fire Flower, Invincibility Star and even 1-up, as they appear in the original video game. On the other hand, something very surprising and important is that everything in the stop-motion animation was created by the artist, it is not a digital animation that makes everything look like a paper effect.

The graphic pieces with which I started was drawing with some pens and cutting out all the poses of the characters I would need and the pieces in the background. With two open notebooks, resulting in four pages positioned continuously, I use them as a renewable canvas, as was done in the creation of the video game that reused the same graphic resources to avoid drawing fewer animation frames.

KisaragiHutae6 wanted to give a special touch to the animation, taking certain liberties that are obviously achieved by the use of paper, which gave it a unique touch, but without completely removing the fidelity to the original game. Those liberties were crumpling or breaking the paper to determine some change in Mario or when some enemies were eliminated.

In itself, the Japanese artist took three hours to draw all the graphic art he needed to make the animation process later. After working photographing each frame individually and rearranging the pieces, the hours determine the dedication that KisaragiHutae6 had in this process, because it took 14 hours.

The artistic work of Japanese is not limited to stop-motion illustrations, it is dedicated to recreating other things, it is also a fan of the Pokémon and the original Game Boy graphics. So, many already expect him to venture again and continue to recreate the worlds of Super Mario Bros.
