How to use Instruments as pickaxe in Fortnite?
With the newest update, 33.20, Fortnite has officially released the ability to use Festival instruments as cosmetic items in Battle Royale mode. To equip an instrument as a pickaxe, go into your locker menu and select your current pickaxe.
Opening your pickaxe gallery is as simple as clicking the Filter button, scrolling down to Instruments, and selecting from the category. Click Apply, and you'll find all the Instruments in your cosmetic locker that can be equipped as a pickaxe.
Pick the one you want to use as your pickaxe and you're ready. In Fortnite Battle Royale, UEFN, OG mode and Fortnite Festival you are able to take up the following as pickaxes: Mic with stands, Keytar, Guitar and Bass. Drums are not included in this cosmetic integration.
Back Blings are not what instruments are to be used as.
Of course, you are able to use the same tools that you use for back blings in Fortnite. Just do the same as you do with the pickaxe and put it into the locker. When you use the same item as both a back bling and a pickaxe, it seamlessly swaps between the two during gameplay, as you equip a weapon or a pickaxe.
