It's a new tool added to the game as part of the update for Season 2 of Chapter 2 and as we mentioned in a previous guide it will be useful for you to find nearby chests, usable objects and enemies very easily as long as you know how to use the Minimapa clearly.
In our guide on how to use Shakedown we mentioned it, but it is not superfluous to do it again, because to be able to use the Minimapa you will first have to get it and for this you will have to do a Shakedown on any enemy to receive the new tool.

How to use the Minimap in Fortnite
In our guide on how to use Shakedown we mentioned it, but it is not superfluous to do it again, because to be able to use the Minimapa you will first have to get it and for this you will have to do a Shakedown on any enemy to receive the new tool.
When you have it all, it should be fully automatic once you use it, the location of nearby chests, usable items and enemies should automatically be highlighted when they are available.
When you do Shakedown on an enemy who is playing in a group, you should be able to see the rest of their squad on the map, the same way it works with Henchman and when you do Shakedown on one you will be able to see the nearby Henchmen on the map if there are any.
Now that you know how to use the Minimap in Fortnite and how to get it we hope you'll be able to get it quickly and start revealing the position of your enemies and items of interest as soon as possible to get the most out of it now that the second season of chapter two begins.
