Now, PMC is generally the more challenging option, as you would be fighting against both the SCAVs and other PMCs. But for beginners, playing as SCAVs is beneficial as it will help them become more familiar with the gameplay.
By doing a SCAV run, you can get immunity from other SCAVs and can loot as much you want in the game as long as other human players do not shoot you down. But you can make one huge mistake in your gameplay as a SCAV, killing another SCAV. This would result in other AI Scavs trying to take you out. So, do not do such a stupid thing, especially when you are a beginner and have not even built your loadout.
