Access to the Mountaintop isn't always guaranteed; it's tied to the Mountaintop Shifting Earth event. Always check your Expedition menu before starting a run to confirm if this event is active. If not, don't worry—it'll appear in a later expedition.While the event can show up on Day 1, rushing in is a mistake. The enemies here are incredibly tough, and the fights are brutal. It's highly recommended to wait until Day 2 and ensure your Nightfarers are at least Level 10.Before heading out, make sure to equip Frost Resistance Relics. You'll desperately need them. The best places to farm these vital Relics are the Fissure in the Fog expedition or by defeating a Nightlord. Skipping this crucial step will almost certainly lead to swift defeat.Step-by-Step Guide to Reaching the Mountaintop
Once you're prepared and sufficiently leveled, begin your journey by heading directly north from your starting point. Keep a sharp eye out for powerful enemies; they're unforgiving. Your clear marker will be a Flying Dragon battling a Troll. You must defeat them to proceed further into the region.
After taking down these guardians, turn west and start your climb. You'll find a Spiritspring and strategically placed rocks to aid your ascent. Use them to gainelevation. As you climb higher, the distinct silhouette of themountain's summit will start to appear.
At this higher altitude, you'll likely face a Mountaintop Frost Dragon. This is a formidable foe, but it's particularly vulnerable to Fire and Bleed damage, so equip accordingly. While you can try to bypass the dragon,defeating it will clear your path and make the rest of the climbsignificantly easier.
