We invite you to discover How to change crosshair in Deadlock with our detailed guide today, let's see.

The settings menu in Deadlock, while still in its infancy, does have a few things that can be adjusted. You'll be able to toy with more fundamental settings, but fine-tuned graphics controls are not currently in the game. Thankfully, one of the most important quality-of-life features is already in: crosshair customization.

How to change crosshair in Deadlock?

Fine-tuning your crosshair is a key part of customizing your Deadlock experience. To do this in a non-live environment, select Sandbox from the Play menu and experiment with your settings in a safe space.

In the Sandbox, your currently selected crosshair will appear in the center of your screen. Activate the Pause Menu and click Settings. On the right-hand side you'll see Reticle Settings.

Crosshair Shape:

  • Gap: Further adjusts the setting that changes the distance between the lines surrounding the central dot. Greater gaps will make it easier to see, but a narrower gap may offer precision. This setting can be modified by changing the distance between the lines surrounding the dot. A wider gap increases visibility, but a narrower gap could improve accuracy.
  • Width: The width setting controls the horizontal thickness of the lines. A wider crosshair may be easier to notice, yet a thinner one may provide better accuracy.
  • Height: As for width, height will set the thickness of the lines vertically. You'll want to experiment with this number to get a good balance between readability and accuracy. Pip Opacity: This is the opacity for the pips, which determines how see-through these lines are. 0.00 will make the lines invisible, while 1.00 will make them fully opaque. You can change this number as you see fit in order to determine exactly how clear this visual should be.
  • Dot Size and Outline: Use to adjust the size of the central dot and its black outline. The larger the dot, the easier to track, though possibly at some sacrifice in terms of precision. Or vice versa.

Crosshair Color:

Red, Green, Blue: These are changeable to produce many crosshair colors. For instance, if you want your crosshair red, then you use Red: 255, Green: 0, Blue: 0. Experiment with different combinations until you find a color that makes visual sense to you and your style of play. Popular Combinations:

  • Purple: Red: 255, Green: 0, Blue: 255
  • Orange: Red: 255, Green: 127, Blue: 0
  • Cyan: Red: 0, Green: 255, Blue: 255
  • Pink: Red: 255, Green: 170, Blue: 255

While Valve have not barred the door on more crosshair options, it does seem unlikely to be much of a priority going forward. There are many other elements of the game that seriously need some labor -- visual updates, new gameplay considerations, and possibly even new content.

Considering the development in progress and that the other fields involve a great deal of work, one wouldn't be wrong to expect the new options of crosshairs to come along later in early access, possibly even after the release. But that is purely speculation; Valve can decide to change plans if they want.
