In Dauntless, when you're hunting a giant behemoth and you find yourself performing your attacks, the numbers that represent the damage inflicted will be displayed. This model is trandicional in the RPG. However, there are more things that can be considered when attacking these monsters and that is that the numbers for the damage can be displayed in different colors according to the attack that is made, that is, they represent a different type of damage. This can be used strategically to hunt in a more effective way. Types of Dauntless Damages
When you attack the giant Behemoth monsters, you can often notice that the numbers that represent the damage inflicted can turn into different colors, which are exactly: green, yellow, blue or red.
The color for these numbers will take any color among the 4 mentioned according to the area where the monster is attacked as well as the weapon used to attack. What do the Damage Colors Mean in DAUNTLESS - Floating Damage and Break Types
Damage or numbers green
The numbers in green indicate damage inflicted in natural or normal type, such as the one that can be done with the Raging Crash hammer, since it has no elemental power. This damage only reduces the general health in the Behemoth.
Damage or numbers yellow
The numbers in yellow indicate partial damage, such as a broken limb or that can be mutilated as legs, tails or horns. In this sense, if you manage to inflict enough damage on a specific part, it'll end up breaking or detaching, the latter occurs with the tail (and thereby also provide a booty orb).
It's necessary to know that to continue attacking the objective part, after it has been broken or detached won't bring more damage. In these cases it is recommended to refocus the attacks on other extremities or areas.
These can be done with blades, repeaters, swords and others. For example with the Inferno's Razor weapon you can perform these damages.
