Where To Find Chromatic Hexga In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33:

Progress to Act 2: The Chromatic Hexga becomes accessible during Act 2 of the game.

Head East of Stone Wave Cliffs: Travel to the east of the Stone Wave Cliffs, the same area where the white Hexga can be found.

The Stove Wave Cliffs (Lair): The lair where the Chromatic Hexga resides is confusingly also called the Stove Wave Cliffs.

Use Esquie to Reach the Beach: Utilize Esquie's flying ability to reach the beach where the portal to the boss fight is located.

No Initial Conversation: Unlike the encounter with the white Hexga, there will be no conversation with the Chromatic Hexga.

Immediate Aggression: As soon as you approach its location, this powerful monster will charge your party and attack.

Use Grapple Hooks: Utilize the available grapple hooks to reach the Chromatic Hexga's location.

Prepare for Battle: Once you reach it, brace yourself for a challenging fight.

How To Beat Chromatic Hexga In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33:

• Weakness: Ice
• Resistant: Fire
• Casts: Shield, Curse Defenceless, Ice, and Rage

The Chromatic Hexga's primary defenselies in its ability to draw power from its crystals, allowing it to cast multiple shields on itself and become immune to regular attacks andskills for a significant portion of the fight. Here's the strategy toovercome this:

First Phase (Damageable): Initially, you can damage the Chromatic Hexga with regular attacks and skills until its health reaches approximately halfway.

Build Gradient Charges: During this first phase, focus on building up your Gradient Charges and do not use them yet.

Second Phase (Invincible): Once the Hexga's health is at half, it will draw significantly more power from its crystals, becoming invincible to standard attacks and skills. It will also cast a protective shield on top of this invulnerability.

Debilitating Spells: In this invincible phase, the Chromatic Hexga will cast Curse on your party, which will kill them in three turns. It will also cast Rage on itself, allowing it to attack twice in a single turn.

Countering Status Effects: Utilize healing tints and Perfect Recovery to dispel the Curse and any other status effects inflicted by the Hexga.

Lowering Defenses (The Key): To damage the invincible Chromatic Hexga, you must first eliminate its shields.

Multi-Hit Attacks: Use abilities that hit multiple times, such as Maelle's Fleuret Fury or Breaking Rules, to quickly deplete its shields. Alternatively, build up your party's AP and use free aim attacks to target and break the shields.

Target the Glowing White Crystals: Once the shields are down, switch to free aim attacks again. Your target now is the glowing white crystals located on the Chromatic Hexga's back. Keep shooting these crystals until you start seeing damage being inflicted on the boss.

Unleash Everything: With the crystals exposed and vulnerable, now is the time to attack the boss with everything your party has, including the Gradient Attacks you have been building up. Continue this assault until the Chromatic Hexga falls.
