BO7 Zombies: Repair Ol' Tessie in Astra Malorum

Phase 1: The Unusual Setup — Triggering the Celestial Path

The first part of this unique challenge takes place in the open expanse of the map, far from the crash site itself. You will need a piece of explosive equipment and keen aim.

1. Prepare Your Payload

Before you begin, ensure you have a piece of Lethal Equipment ready to use, such as a Frag Grenade or a Semtex. This explosive device is required to interact with the environment.

2. Locate the Abyssal Rim

Travel to the Abyssal Rim section of the map, specifically where you find the Wisp Tea perk machine. This area provides a crucial vantage point for the next step.

3. Aim for the Celestial Debris

Stand facing the Wisp Tea machine and look towards the planet Saturn in the distance. You will notice a large, floating rock or piece of debris slightly to the left of the perk machine.

• The Throw: Carefully aim your explosive equipment and throw it at this specific piece of floating rock.

If executed correctly, the detonation will trigger a surprising environmental shift: the large, floating rock will move and position itself directly in front of Saturn, creating an unexpected platform.

Phase 2: The Space Jump and Component Retrieval

With the rock now in place, you have a temporary, unstable path to reach the vital component needed for Ol' Tessie’s repair. This step requiresrapid execution and platforming skill.

• Use the Platform: Immediately run towards the newly positioned floating rock.
• The Wall Jump: When you reach the rock, perform a wall jump off its surface. This maneuver will propel your character high into the air, launching you toward the gigantic planet Saturn.
• Grab the Barrel: As you fly through the vacuum, look directly ahead. You will see the DG-2 Turret Barrel floating mid-air in front of you. You must interact with this component to grab it while you are airborne.

Once the component is successfully collected, the game will automaticallyreset your position, placing you back on the map safely (you will notdie or take damage). The most difficult phase of the quest is nowcomplete.

Phase 3: Bringing the Turret Online at the Crash Site

With the critical component secured, the only task remaining is returning to the downed transport and installing the DG-2 Turret.

• Return to Ol' Tessie: Fast travel or run back to the Crash Site where Ol' Tessie's wreckage resides.
• Access the Gunner Seat: Locate the remains of the vehicle and jump onto the back section where the gunner's platform would have been.
• Repair and Activate: Interact with the gunner seat prompt. Because you are carrying the DG-2 Turret Barrel, you will be given the option to repair the weapon platform.

Strategic Usage and High-Round Control

While the turret is fixed in place and the traditional bus driver (T.E.D.D.)and the wheels are permanently out of commission, the mounted DG-2Turret is an immense tactical asset.

• The Hoarding Technique: The most effective way to use it is by first hoarding a large train of the undead. Then, quickly jump into the gunner seatand fire a few controlled bursts to wipe out the majority of the wavebefore exiting the seat and repeating the process.
• Warning: Be aware that while you are operating the turret, the zombies willstill attempt to throw flesh at you, making constant vigilance andcareful positioning necessary, but the output damage far outweighs therisk.
