Tapejara can be found in the wild all over the island of Ark. Look for them in the grassy lowlands, or near water sources or redwood forests. Tapejara can be found in groups of up to three, but they usually travel solo. It is not uncommon to find them in the same area as other creatures like the Dilophosaur, Carnos, and Direwolves.
Before attempting to tame a Tapejara, it is important to make sure that the surrounding area is clear of aggressive predators. Once it is safe, consume a Rare Flower to draw the attention of nearby animals. Now, use a Bola or Net to trap the Tapejara. Equip a Tranquilizer Arrow and shoot the Tapejara in the head for increased Torpor damage. Place Taming Food in its inventory when it passes out and wait until the taming process is complete.
Taming a Tapejara in Ark Survival Evolved can be a challenging yet rewarding experience. With preparation and patience, anyone can become a master of Tapejara taming. So, gather your supplies, find a Tapejara, and give it a go!
