Step 1: Complete the tutorial

After creating your character and a new world, start the Aloft tutorial.
Follow the tutorial objectives to familiarize yourself with the basic mechanics of the game.

Step 2: Find the Stone of Knowledge

Once you exit the cave in the starting island tutorial area, look for a cliff on the right side.
You should see a Stone of Knowledge at the top of the cliff.

Step 3: Reach the Stone of Knowledge

Follow the path through the trees next to the waterfall.
You will see a house in ruins.
Take the path on the right in front of the house.
Climb or jump over the rocks on the right side until you reach the top of the cliff.

Step 4: Obtain the workstation plan

Interact with the Stone of Knowledge.

Step 5: Create the workstation

You will need five pieces of wood to create the workstation.
