Abiotic Factor is a co-op survival crafting game where players must scavenge for resources, manage their base, and confront various threats within the mysterious GATE research facility. Among the unusual encounters you'll face is a peculiar figure crawling on all fours, affectionately known by the community as Coworker Jerome. While a "feed" option appears when you interact with him, there are specific considerations for doing so.This guide explains everything you need to know about Coworker Jerome, including where to find him and how to feed him.

Where To Find Coworker Jerome in Abiotic Factor

You will likely encounter Coworker Jerome for the first time while exploring the Office Sector at night. He moves by crawling on his hands and feet and will loudly call out for food, often making humorous and unsettling statements. You're most likely to spot him around the main plaza area near the trams in the Office Sector.After your initial encounter in the Office Sector, Jerome may begin to appear in other areas of the GATE facility once the lights are out. He typically spawns at night and will often follow you once he spots you, persistently asking for food. He is afraid of light and will quickly crawl away and disappear at 6:00 AM when the lights come back on in the facility.

How To Feed Coworker Jerome in Abiotic Factor

Coworker Jerome will follow you, constantly requesting food. You canfeed him almost any edible item by pressing the correspondinginteraction button. However, there are a few important rules to keep inmind:

• Edible Items Only: You can feed him most food items.
• No Sickening/Death-Causing Items: You cannot feed him items that would cause sickness or instant death to your character. This means heavily irradiated monster meat or clearlyspoiled food will not work.
• One Item Per Night:You cannot feed him the same type of item more than once per night. Youmust offer different food items for subsequent feedings.
• Preferred Foods: Jerome has been observed to accept a variety of foods, including:
  • Pest meat (Pest, Pest Rump, Raw Pest, Raw Pest Rump)
  • Sodas (like Minescence Soda)
  • Most vending machine foods

Rewards for Feeding Jerome

If you feed Coworker Jerome three different items in one night, he will drop office utilities such as Staplers and Pens before scurrying away. While these items arenot particularly rare or game-changing, they are a small reward forinteracting with this unique anomaly.

Other Interactions

• Harmless: Despite his unsettling appearance and behavior, Coworker Jerome is completely harmless and will not attack you.
• Killing Jerome: You can choose to kill Coworker Jerome, though he possesses asurprisingly large amount of HP. If you manage to defeat him, he willdrop a Human Skull, but no other remains or useful loot. He will eventually respawn in future nights.
