How to Access the Dark Lens in Abiotic Factor
The Dark Lens is a central plot device in Abiotic Factor. It was once a crucial component for safely controlling portals, a piece of technology created by Dr. Elanor Newman. With its theft, portals now appear randomly, posing a significant threat to the Cascade Facility. Retrieving the Dark Lens is a challenging mission that will take you through dangerous areas filled with enemies and environmental hazards. With the right gear and careful planning, you can navigate this complex journey.Get to the Entrance: The first step is to locate the entrance to the area containing theDark Lens. It is highly recommended that you place a bed or a spawnpoint nearby so you can quickly return to the fight if you are defeated. Use the Suit to Cross Gaps: The path to the Dark Lens is not straightforward. You will need to useyour suit's abilities, such as jumping and double jumping, to traverseacross various platforms. Follow the designated path and jump carefullyto each platform. Navigate the Tunnels: Continuemoving forward until you encounter a vent or tunnel that automaticallypushes you forward. After emerging from the tunnel, jump up to theplatform above and continue along the path, collecting any loot you find along the way. Follow the Wooden Beam: You willeventually reach a wooden beam that you must carefully walk across. Inthe next room, use your suit to jump across to another platform. Fromthere, you'll need to drop into a window below and proceed through adoor, where you may encounter enemies. Find and Use the Motion Module: In a specific area, you will need a Motion Module to fix a nearby mechanism and proceed. This module is required to power a jump pad or similar device that helps you progress. Through the Water Area: Next, you will reach an area with a pool of water. It's best to stayabove the water and follow the path ahead. This will lead you to another set of tunnels and vents that will push you forward. Find the Second Module: After being pushed forward, you'll arrive in a new area that requires a second Motion Module. If you don't have one, you'll need to backtrack to find one. Once you have it, fix the second device to continue. Prepare for Combat: With the second module installed, you will be pushed into a new room.This area is filled with hostile creatures, so be prepared to fightthem. After clearing the initial group, proceed deeper into the area,where more enemies will be waiting. Disable the Shield: Continue forward and look for a platform that allows you to jump to the shield mechanism. There will be a creature guarding it, so be ready for another fight. After defeating the creature, disable the shield. Return to the Main Area: A portal will appear, taking you back to the start of this section.Follow the path you took before, moving towards the lights. Be cautious, as another creature will be waiting for you. Final Steps: Back in the main area, a few more enemies will spawn, including apowerful final creature after you destroy the remaining shield nodes.Use the laser paths as clues to locate and destroy these nodesone by one. Once the final shield is down, defeat the last powerfulcreature to complete the mission and unlock The Dark Lens.
